Awwww... poor little rich girl, rebelling against mummy and daddy's political views. I guess simply changing the subject, keeping your trap shut or replying with a disinterested 'Hmmm" or "isn't that interesting" never occurred to you?

OP Did you ever stop to think that your parents may be ashamed of you, too, not because of your political views but because of your narrow-minded inability to respect someone's right to hold an opinion different than your own?
Agree.
Uh, respecting someone's right to hold an opinion does not mean you have to respect the opinion. Nor do you have to respect them if they hold it.
Example:
1. I respect the right of Klansmen to hold the opinion that the white race is superior.
2. I do not respect the opinion.
3. I do not respect people who hold that opinion.
You reverse PC types are trying to say she actually has to respect her parents regardless of the opinions they hold. Maybe you should start your own PCU.
