I used to edit mystery shop reports too. Better pay than being a mystery shopper, plus I was able to edit the reports from home but in the end I hated it! I think there were quotas tied to the number of reports you had to read and edit. I think the name of the company was shop n chek.

OP here. Thanks for the laughter. My phone and computer are set up for another language so autocorrect fooled me again.

Anyway, most of the assignments are 20-30 minutes plus the 15min it will take me to respond the survey or write a quick report. I only pick places I'd go to anyway and like to have something to do out of the house while DC is too young to understand what we're doing anyway. The money is play money so it'd not like we depend on the income. I just wanted to know what you'd say if you met a mom in the playground and asked what she does and she responded mYstery shopping what would you think of her.

My husband used to do it, when we were young and poor. He did airlines, before 9/11. He had to check in at the counter, go to the 1st class lounge and evaluate it, and come up with some random questions to ask the gate agent. Then he turned in his "boarding pass" and went home to write the report, covering each stage and each employee he dealt with. Each assignment took a total of 3 hours or so, including writing the report, and he was paid $60, plus of course all the cookies and whatnot he had to sample in the lounge.

$20 an hour was useful money back then. I wouldn't have anything to do with this $3-5 nonsense.
