I'm late 20s, and totally agree that this is based on appearance, not age. Some chicas my age should be wearing one-pieces yet they let the muffin top hang. If you're 50 and toned with good skin, rock it!

NP here. OP, if you look good (get an opinion from a trusted friend) then go for it. I remember being 20 and looked smokin' hot in a bikini. There were huge haters, but that was their problem, not mine. Find the right top and bottom, and go for it. If you get "southern looks" then you know you look good

I can understand being misguided at 20 or 30 because you think you know everything. But at 50...I don't care if you weigh 100 lbs...have some decency!

You're a fool. Who cares about the age, if you have a smoking hot body and look hot in a bikini then wear it! Helen Mirren is hot and I'd totally roll around in the sand with her anytime. BTW, young fellow here who loves the older ladies.

On the other hand, when we we traveled to Greece, I purchased just a bathing suit bottom to enjoy the beach topless.
A girl has to have fun, but please stop scaring my teenage sons!

You're fucking crazy. I'm in my 30's and have seen some gorgeous 50+ ladies in bikinis. Fuck your bratty teenage kids if they're assholes like you, who cares what they think. To all you older FIT ladies that are in your 50's or older, rest assured you have a young guy here that would love to see you in a two piece bikini. More power to you!

Why do you require the approval of a forum. At age 50 you should be capable of deciding what you want to wear.

I think a lot of women over 50 feel like their current bodies are pale reflections of their former, sexier selves, and feel the need to make self-deprecating, apologetic remarks about themselves. Some men no doubt feel the same way. But just as some men prefer blondes and some brunettes, there are some men - like me - who find that many women get more attractive as they get older. Look at pictures of Helen Mirren when she was younger, and if you're like me, you will think she looks way better now than she ever did.

DH thinks Helen Mirren is hot, too.

As long as you're not obese, its fine. I don't care about saggy skin and wrinkles! But if you're 60lbs+ over weight and have a small frame, you should probably skip it. My family is european though --we're not overly concerned with appearance.

For all the anti-2 piece stances for above 50+ year olds, take a look at your nearest water park. Most gals there in their teens, 20's and 30's shouldn't even be allowed in a public pool, let alone wear a 2 piece. Look how fat some youngher people are.
So, my spin is, if you are 50 or above, and, if you got the body, go ahead.

We don't care what men think. We are dressing for other women.
