Obelisk is wonderful (and an easy walk from the Dupont metro stop). Rasika is also very good.

In Bethesda for something nice, black's, persimmon, redwood or grapseed.
But you can do far better in dc. Another vOte for Komi and the source.

If you like steak, one thing Bethesda does have is steakhouses - Ruth's Chris, Morton's, there's a Capital Grille in Friendship Heights.
