I can't tell if you're actually trying to be stupid/sarcastic as a literary device or if you just are. How many years have you taught that you know this? Did you teach in a lot of different school districts, or is your knowledge so broad based because you've worked elsewhere in education?

What about it is newsworthy? It's a single incident in a small high school in a small town (population around 3,000). It has exactly zero effect on the rest of the world.
