that the biggest concern of the researchers is that it breaks the connection between what you taste and what satisfies your body. Normally you are hungry, you eat something and your brain gets the signal that sugar is coming and it kicks off a chain of events, one of which signals to your body that you are satisfied. But when that system gets tricked over and over again, your brain learns not to trust the signals from your taste buds anymore.
