OP, ignore the crazies.

I wanted to chime in because I'm not sure if the other replies were clear on this: you can find a house anywhere in Fairfax County, and if your child is admitted to the AAP ("gifted") program, he will be placed in a school that has AAP, even if that is not your regular neighborhood school. The AAP programs are housed at certain schools, but draw students from all different neighborhoods. So you don't have to worry about being in-bounds for a school that has AAP. Just find a house you like in Vienna, or anywhere else in Fairfax County, and your child will be eligible for AAP (if he meets the criteria for the program).
