What is Barbour? Did Haley Barbour come out with a fashion line or something?
Barbour is such a funny name anyway -- means booger in Arabic.

It makes me laugh, I image most of the posters here wearing white turtlenecks under thick gaudy wool sweaters with black loafers and black pleated Chico's pants. So, with that in mind, I ignore all discussions of fashion on this board.
I am trying to ignore yours also.

I understand that Talbots, Chico’s, Pandora, any quilted coats (Burberry being especially bad), any capris, and Tory Burch are all bad and I should remove them from my wardrobe lest I appear to be one of the “sheeple”.
So, what may I wear? And in wearing only what is DCUM approved, will I still be “sheeple”, but just of a different flock?
How does this work?

The cashier (guy) at Fudruckers the other day, asked me if I was wearing a Burberry Brit and proceeded to tell me about his jacket (not quilted). There's no exclusive club here as much as you'd like to think. People that are willing to spend money on quality should not be assumed to be desperate label whores.
I don't get how it's not ok to make fun of low income people, wearing what they can afford from Walmart yet anyone with a salary that affords them to buy Burberry is fair game. Double standard.

I know, right. It's like privileged should mean privilged to buy whatever what we want, no matter the cost, and not get picked on for it. It's totally the same making fun of me for overspending on hideous luxury items as it is making fun of someone with no real choices for doing what they have to to keep themselves clothed and warm.
I've been on both ends of the spectrum and I've worked my ass off to get where I am. If I want to buy a damn Burberry jacket I will. Keep your condescending sarcasm to yourself Bitch. I know what it's like to get handouts from the church and go hungry and be homeless. Do you??? Yes, it is a double standard. You are making assumptions about people solely based on their appearance. How dare you judge me for the clothes on my back when you don't know my history.

What coolege-age girl wears this. I think they are perfectly acceptable on 60 year old women. But ladies, let's dress our age already.
