What's playing at Albert Hall? It's a beautiful, beautiful room. They give a daytime tour, too, which is pretty interesting if you like grand theaters.

I second the London Walks recommendation. Every one I've done has been terrifically entertaining. They do a wonderful one that goes to Greenwich - includes a boat ride over to Greenwich, a nice walking tour, and you can have lunch over the water at the Lord Trafalgar. If you have a day with good weather, it's heaven. Wonderful pub: The Windsor Castle (Holland Park - between Kensington High Street and St John's Wood, approximately). They have a lovely garden out back and the interior is old and fascinating. See the War Rooms where Churchill plotted England's military strategy during WWII. Lots of wonderful food in London, too. Have a great time, you lucky dog!

Free music at St. Martin in the Fields. Or was free once upon a time. Tour a National Trust or Heritage property.

National Portrait Gallery, grab a salad at Ottolenghi, pamper yourself at the spa at the Dorchester - that's what I'd do!

the Golden Hind, on Marylebone Lane, just off Marylebone High Street. Not fancy, but fantastic.

Also, see if you can squeak in a reservation for tea at the Savoy, it's recently renovated and gorgeous. The Dorchester is one of my faves. For a cozier environment, try the Milestone in Kensington Rd, just before the high street starts. Dukes Hotel is also very nice, as is the Landmark. Yeah, I love a good afternoon tea.

Hit the museum of London in the City if you're a history buff and have done a lot of the usual tourist stuff already. combine it with a tour of St Paul's -- on a nice day, do all of the steps for a fantastic view.
