Agree drs may order unecessary test but let's not forget about for profit health care... drug companies, insurance companies and doctors are making a lot of money. This article ignores how costs are sprialing out of control.

I thought this was interesting:

Avoid nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) in individuals with hypertension or heart failure or CKD of all causes, including diabetes.

(From the American Society of Nephrology) It seems that NSAIDs are somewhat widely used, so something to consider for patients who have HTN or Diabetes.
