17:31 here again. Forgot Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry. They were a little before my time but somehow I got really into them. Slave to Love and Love is the Drug are so cool.

And while I'm at it, forgot Talking Heads.

And Psychedelic Furs.

Okay, I'll stop now. Can you tell I still really love 80s music?

Loved certain singles too like Naked Eyes "Always Something There to Remind Me" and Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart"

anything by Peter Gabriel is up there too

really liked Pretty in Pink soundtrack (as well as any movie by John Hughes, may he rest in peace!)

To those listed here, I would add, in no particular order, Huey Lewis and the News (who didn't own Sports), Tears for Fears, Wham, Foreigner, Journey, The Cars, Cyndi Lauuper, The Go Gos, and then there were lots of random one hit wonders songs, many of whom I can't remember who sang (like who sang Life in Northern Town, I loved that song).

I remember the first time I heard GNR Welcome to the Jungle in the theater dressing room after school, and that must have been '87 or '88 and we all crowded around this guy's boombox to listen to it.

I am indeed a woman who STILL loves Rush. In fact, my husband caught a concert on cable during their Time Machine tour. I was glued to the TV.

There's no better group IMHO. My daughter even loves "the priests."


Have you seen their documentary PP? I am NOT a Rush fan, but my DH and I were completely captivated.


Sadly, I have not. But it's in the books - perhaps on a slow weekend. Actually, this weekend is sort of slow! Thanks for the reminder.
