Subject: student loans VS income
Owe $150K, make $115K. Five years into the income based loan repayment program. In five years I will owe about $100k which will be forgiven as I'm in public service as a govt lawyer. DH owed $160K, but received $65K in loan repayment in the military and $60K in bonus in the military he put towards his loan. He's down to about $25K.

Originally owed about 60, down to 39. Make almost 200k. (Could pay them off but with the low rate I pay I'd rather stockpile cash).

The OP asked about income vs student loans. Telling us your income and that you have no student loans isn't the point of the thread.

Can you read? Here is the OP:
How much did/do you owe in student loans and how much are you earning now?
The responder had NO LOANS (first part of question answered) and makes 150K (second part of question answered).

My husband borrowed $0, graduated with an MA and a BA in 06. I borrowed about 45k. I think it is down to about 22k now. I graduated with a BA in 06. I make about 40k a year. Borrowed $0 for an MA.

DH paid all of his off right before we got married (at 28). My parents paid in-state undergrad tuition in full. I got a stipend and full tuition to cover my grad school-master of science biochem degree. 40s- no debt except our mortgage.
