Every national poll right now says the same thing. It is undeniable. Whether or not an amendment can pass in a given state does not change that. The population supports gay marriage.

Being gay could actually be an evolutionary strategy.

I know of many a gay uncle who dote on their little nieces and nephews. That gives extra resources to the offspring of the hetero sibling. If the gay uncles had kids, their kids would be competing for resources with the niece. And the gay uncle's genetics are basically idential to his hetero brother. So he is doting on his own genes.

Many traits are simply not going to eliminate themselves through natural selection and reproductive fitness. Laws forbidding the mentally deficient, the epileptic, the criminal to marry/breed have had no effect on the number of persons with these traits in the population, nor has sterilization. We can't make everything better through genetics.

There is no such behavior in animals. When the female is in heat some of the estrus can end up on the male which will trigger other males to "mate" with it.


Good grief. Have you never had animals? My two male dogs used to hump each other regularly.

Animal breeders know this. Bull breeders know you can put estrus on a decoy and the bull will mate with it.

But activists, trying to rationalize and defend their aberrant behavior, concoct stories about it being natural to make themselves feel better.

And I agree with a PP who stated molestation probably continued the cycle. The flailing, "stuck pig" response of 17:12 tells me a bit of truth was revealed and someone did not like it one bit.

I'm assuming you're a troll.

If you're saying "if its not a mental illness it must be genetic" then it definitely could survive by being a recessive gene.

Its not a mental illness because it doesn't fit the definition of mental illness. Homosexuals are no different then heterosexuals in their mental health.

OP, it is likely that the gene for homosexuality in a different form codes for desirable characteristics that may show themselves when one is not gay. Some say that there is a need for more masculine women and more feminine men, depending on the circumstances. When the characteristics tip to an extreme that leads to homosexuality, then the gene is terminal.

Scientists thought that schizophrenia would eventually fade away because the people who had it would not voluntarily or involuntary mate and have children. So it was surprising to them that the genes continued to survive.

That is not the reality. Your estimation of "most families" is a bust. Most Americans support gay marriage, and that's a fact even if your little brain can't comprehend it.

It may be advantageous for family lines to have a certain number of gay offspring. The reason is that the resources necessary to raise a human (parental investment) are quite high. This characteristic has a lot to do with the evolutionary pressure toward monogamy and low numbers of offspring for humans. In times of scarcity, a greater number of adults focused on the survival of fewer offspring with a common genetic profile may ensure the success of the line in times of scarcity.

Er, no. There are many instances of animals who form lifelong homosexual bonds. You are not smart, or informed. But then again, you were probably born not smart, so there's not a lot we can do for you.
