OP, good luck. I was in your situation last summer. I wish I could post the name of the doctor who I went to because he was the most wonderful, compassionate person but I will try to protect his privacy.

Wow: hate and glibness in such a short response. Against abortion? DONT HAVE ONE. It's still legal, despite the best efforts of control freaks and trolls.

OP--how far along are you? If you are very early on, you may be able to get a medical abortion--ie, a pill. I believe many places will administer 7 weeks gestation or less; at some places at 9 weeks or less. I have not been through a termination myself, but you have my support.

and this would be one of those "here are your choices, except abortion" places, where they will lecture you about how wrong and immoral it is to have an abortion.

DO NOT call them--they withhold medical info, and are a well-known anti-abortion organization.

I don't understand. Withhold your medical info from who? Why would you need to give them your medical info or a name. Obviously, this is one of those religiously funded, "here are your options, but not abortion hotline."

From the person asking asking. They purport to answer medical questions about the abortion pill, process, etc, but obviously sculpt the answers in a way that suits their purpose. Not withhold your medical information.

I went to the clinic in Falls Church and never saw a protester - in a multi-use building and extremely kind staff.

I went to PP in falls church. Granted it was years ago, but no protesters, and they were great.

I hope your SO or a close friend will go with you for support. I found my close friends to be very supportive and helpful through the process.

Thank you for all the helpfull responses. I really appreciate it. I Know and believe that this is the right decision for both myself and my family. It's not my only option but the best option. I will keep my head held highlike one of the previous posters said. This is a difficult time and the thought of dealing with protesters makes me feel so nervous.

If you end up going to PP and encounter protesters, remember that PP offers all kinds of services. If they approach you can always say you're there for pre-natal care. That will get them off your back.

And remember that your situation is uniquely yours and you need to make this decision based on your situation and what is best for you and your family. No one else can tell you what that decision should be.[/quote

OP, you don't need to say a damn thing to them. They need to mind their own business. You don't need to entertain any of them and don't owe them an explanation for where you are going and for what?

OP, What are you worried about? If you have decided for yourself what's best for you, then hold your head up high and walk right through them and into the clinic. What are they going to do, hold you down? Listen to your ipod as you walk in, then you can't hear them.
They have no idea what your situation is and what you do is nobody's business. Be strong and I'm sorry this must not be easy.
Don't feel bad for a second for making a decision for yourself and for your family, no matter what that decision is.
