Please advise: if your 2nd grader scored above 132 on Nnat1, are they automatically in the pool regardless of COgat? Assume both administered by FCPS.

pp: you are only in pool if the test was administered by fcps. But, in reality, being in pool means nothing -- anyone can parental refer.

My 2nd grader got one score of 133 on nnat2 and got 117-119 on cogat. Does this mean she qualifies for the pool? I read somewhere that you make the cut even if only one of your scores is more than 132. She took a private test through GMU since we just moved here recently.

It is the same type of test, but each grade tests is different. 2nd graders are not asked the same questions as 1st graders. Then for all 1st graders the test is scored according to their age. Think about parents that 'redshirt' their kindergarteners. Some kids start 1st grade and are already 7 because they had a summer birthday and other kids just turned 6 and won't turn 7 until the following summer. They are in the same grade but if each gets 43 questions right out of 48 the scores will be very different. I think this makes sense. The older child has had more time to develop his abilities and 'should know more'. This is how all of these tests work. You are only scored against children within your own 3 month age window.

My DC took it in 2d grade and got a 130 with a raw score of 43.

Why do you think in is 45/48 or 46 or 47? Have you seen this somewhere or are you just guessing?

Its over 45/48 at-least. I think it may be closer to 46 or 47

If your child is in the pool, you can provide additional information that may prove helpful to the local screening committee. There is an optional parent questionnaire you can complete and submit to your school's AART.
