Principals are part of the local (school-level) screening committee, so yes, the principal has a say in the GBRS regardless of how well s/he knows each student.

I think the Shrevewood parents could have a hard time this year. The new principal was alarmed that the school sent 18 kids to AAP last year. She has mentioned it several times. I suspect she will try to keep the number down this year. I would wager GBRS will be low.
BTW. I do not have a child up for AAP this year so I don't have a dog in the fight.

What was the NNAT score from last year?
In years past, it seemed as though many kids had an NNAT score about 10 points higher than their cogat. I am wondering if that trend is working the other way around with the new form of the cogat test.
