Wasn't this house featured in the Post a while back? Owned by a former member of Congress and his wife? At the time, I wanted to cry when I saw they'd painted over all the original woodwork. I winced again, looking at it this time.
I prefer it with much of the woodwork painted white. Dark wood everywhere is ugly and depressing. They may have gone a bit far into the all-white look but it is better than it would be if the wood was all exposed.

I pass this house alot - it is awful from the street. It doesn't look anything like the other houses around it - totally sticks out. It might have nice features inside but looks tacky from the street.
