I've never had the guts to tell my husband that I actually hate most of his kisses. It's actually pretty awful. Not his faster kisses, but his make out kisses. Ugh. So no, I don't. I avoid it at all costs.

How do you tell your husband and the father of your children that he's a terrible kisser??

Also, I am going to echo the sentiment of the person saying it always leads to sex. I do not (usually) view sex as a chore and our sex life is decent, but I hate that a kiss can't just be a kiss with him. And that it progresses into awful make-out kissing and then sex.

Me, too! And making out was my absolutely favorite part of intimacy, but DH isn't a very good kisser and I have tried and tried...sigh...

This is us too. Used to love kissing but after years of trying to change his "style", I've given up. Poor DH.

I felt that way for many years, PP. Once your children are older and you have more time to yourself, maybe you'll feel differently.

married for 8 years with a 7 yo and 3 yo . . .

How do you define "older?" tweens? teens?

PP here...tweens and teens. Life changes a lot when your children can actually do things for themselves and are not dependent on you for their every need; you regain a sense of freedom, because you have more time to focus on your own needs. At least that has been my experience.

It doesn't HAVE to lead to sex. If you have a full and satisfying sex life there are times that making out is a promise of more to come later or even just showing the other that you are still so enamored and turned on by them that you just can't keep your hands (and lips) off of them

I can't imagine not kissing. Let go OP, forget about your hangups, and kiss that man.

DH is a terrible kisser and I am just too frustrated after years of trying to teach him. I'm just. I don't even.

Sex is a chore, something else to check off my list of things to do. No, there's no kissing. I want it to be as quick as possible.
I also don't want to be kissed like that anymore because DH will always want more. He can't just kiss with getting rock hard expecting me to put out. I resist his kissing because of this reason.

Sad... I know.

What a gem.

Nope..never kiss. Wife just turns her head and I barely get a cheek. No kisses for years, no sex for almost 3 years. No connection whatsoever, which is just sad. And yes, this is killing me.

on behalf of your DH,.. Ouch!

I disagree. If he ever kissed her just for the sake of kissing and not to get laid, maybe they would both get more of what they want. Maybe she wouldn't feel like he only touches her to get what he wants from her.

She thinks that sex is a chore, just something on her "To Do" list. Perhaps he is simply trying to ignite some passion in her.

ahem, I don't know too many guys who kiss just for the sake of kissing. And I know a lot of guys.

Really? I also know a lot of guys and there are some who do. Not every kiss has to lead to sex. I'm just saying that if they met halfway it could work better for both of them.
