Go KIPP! I would place DD there in a heartbeat next year if not for the late bday cutoff. Also happy to see Thurgood Marshall is doing as well as I thought they were. It will be a strong option for HS.

Re Two Rivers, it may be just that it's gotten too hard to get into. They had to hold a lottery for preschool siblings this year:

This year, the school received more applications from siblings of currently enrolled students than
available slots for preschool. Therefore, there will be a sibling lottery held to determine which siblings
of currently enrolled students will be admitted to the preschool class.

I remember it getting a lot of discussion here two years ago, when our family was first applying to lotteries. I'm not sure why it's fallen off the radar screen since. (Do folks still talk about the "Magnificent Seven" charter schools? TR was on that list...)


What were the magnificent 7 then? I vaguely remember but everything is clouded by a thousand other things.
