Ok my question is not related but here it is anyway. I boughtthe pprevious portioned sugar cookie dough. How do I add sprinkles so they will stick?

And to be clear, yes I rolled both. Yes, you don't want to re-roll too many times, but I find that with homemade also.

Yes. I usually baked from scratch, but have times caved and bought either the pillsbury cookie dough in a tube or the pillsbury cookie dough in a bag that you only add 2 ingredients. I will say, I remember getting compliments on the bagged one. And I remember it being super easy. Just follow the directions for the rolled out version (less water maybe?).

I have yet to find a sugar cookie roll-out recipe I like, so I can totally see why you would be willing to cheat.

Yes, I bought sheets already rolled out. They were small, but fine for preschoolers.

But rolling and rerolling dough that has already been preformed into a log for slicing may or may not work - that was the essence of my question. Pillsbury dough might not be meant to be reworked that way because it is designed for people who are not intending to work dough! The poster who said there are instructions for rolling it, which require the addition of flour, makes clear that it is not in fact intended to be worked as is.

I made this recipe today and they were awesome. I can't stop eating them! Super easy too, OP. I did them with three kids under 6 in the house while DH was at work...that's how easy they are. If you make them, don't follow the modifications in the comments--they were perfect as is and would be great for kids to decorate. Not much harder tha buying the Pils dough and rolling that out by hand.

wow that responder is mean. Whats wrong with her? I think thats a perfectly normal question. I came on here to check as well. I wanted to make sure I didn't mess it up if not following the exact directions. and I don't have a butler, I work full time, have a preschooler and husband in law school. I sure could use a butler hahaha

There is a boxed version that may be a good middle ground. I think you add eggs and oil. I use it one year I was too tired o make real homemade cookies, and as another poster said, I got the most compliments. Pillsbury sugar cookie.
