Tell her that unless she wants to up her chances of a Bridesmaid Wardrobe Malfunction at her wedding, that you need to go with a style of dress that will let you don an over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder.
Tell her her selection is gorgeous, perfect, etc. but that you simply can't go strapless.
Then see what she says.
