There might be some exceptions, but I would say that generally people who are a size 12 are fat.

How did you lose it?
I lost 50 lbs 4 years ago and the answer to your question is more exercise and less food. People always ask me that question and seem disappointed with the answer. I've never known anyone who kept it off with a fad diet.

I would really like to know how that's even possible. I weigh 125, I'm 5'1" and I wear a size0, 2 or at absolute most a size 4. No matter the designer--even clothing that runs lean. I was a size 10 when I was pregnant and weighed 150-160!!!

It wouldn't mean too much weight gain or just different sizing that come with different brands and I could easily be a 12 without looking fat. Oh, and I'm a 6 on top - I know, serious pear shape! For dresses I usually wear a 6 or 8 depending on the cut. The number just doesn't mean much.
