OP here. Thanks so much everyone. I think the plan is to keep the consult with Dr. Scott. We will meet her first anyway (parents). I guess my only hesitation was that she would likely not do a full neuropsych eval, or ed. testing. I think she will be a good sounding board though, as to whether we need to delve further, or wait. Thanks for the feedback from the pp who saw her speak. When we took younger ds to her, I thought she was extremely knowledgeable, and had a nice demeanor as well. Just with the info we gave and our two visits, she was really able to tease out some subtlties with our younger ds that we had not seen. And, we are in Reston, so it is convenient too.
Oh, and to the pp regarding the test scores, I am not sure what it would look like, but I know I have seen posts somewhere, perhaps on the VA public schools thread?
Will defintely check out the 2E links. We will definitely be dealing with this again with ds 2. (though he is on an IEP and getting amazing support)
