Elie Saab is light and jasmine-y and just wonderful! It's a little $$ though.

I've been a fan of the Clinique perfumes for years (esp Happy) and I get lots of complements when I wear it.

"Old money?" Seriously? This is a drugstore perfume for tweens.

I know, it's not for everybody. I consider it a kind of 'old money' scent. Take that however you wish.

Original Love's scent poster here and sometimes you can find a variety of the old timers on line-there's a lemon one, a rain scent and I'm not sure what the purple one is but I think I've seen it online. I like it because you can even wear it around babies (in small doses).

Skinfood's Italian lemon. Crisp not sweet and I can even wear it to work---I'm an RN and too much perfume makes patients ill.

It's almost impossible to use too much. Don't let the low price throw you off-this has been my go-to day fragrance for years.

I second this. I used it in HS and then stopped using it. Then, on a whim, I picked some up at CVS a few months ago. I've received many compliments on good it smells. And it's not overwhelming.

I haven't used Love's in years, but I have used some variation of a Vanilla scent since HS. I was upset when Vicki's discontinued the Vanilla Lace scent for a while - then they brought it back, I guess due to customer comments.

There was a Love's scent that came in a purple bottle - anyone remember that one? I liked it.

I have three small kids and was looking for suggestions because I don't have time to just slowly go through the perfume counter so was looking for some suggestions so I could go to those first.

What can you really expect from someone who says Nordies?

I really love citrus-y smells. For body wash, I use Happy Hippy from Lush - LOVE it, makes it a little easier to wake up in the mornings.

I love love love Jo Malone Grapefruit for Women. It's one of my go-to perfumes and I ALWAYS have it on hand. It fits the description of what you're looking for.

Big fan of dolce & gabanna light blue. I hate most perfumes but I heart this one!
