That's one part of DC.
In another part of DC, you get the 15 yr old mama, the 31 yr old gramma, the 47 yr old great-gramma. Occasionally the 67 yr old great-great-gramma is still alive at 67, but that life expectancy is a stretch in those Wards.
Speaking of stretch, I bought a pair of Not Your Mother's Jeans today and they rock! Well, I think they'll wear out quickly due to thin fabric. But they look good for now.
This is DC, there are probably 61 year olds with newborns on this board.

It is more than possible to have a young mom and be 40.

I'm the person you quoted and you are right!

They're low-waisted...
Holy Sh!t, even my 7 year old makes fun of that commercial. PLEASE tell me you are kidding.... right? right?
Anonymous wrote:We're talking, Rider's, Wrangler, Lee - anything available in Target or Walmart with a high waist and unflattering pocket placement. I can't take it anymore but she is being really, really stubborn. She is 60 and looks great (a size 8-10) but these jeans....ugh. I know she wants high waisted and I'm not against that - just not these Mom jean brands and looks! Have you dragged your mom shopping at Nordstroms or somewhere else? What brands/styles made the transition and does she like them now?

Spoken like a true 45 year old Mom of a newborn.![]()
Not OP, but my Mom is 55 and I'm 31. Not everyone waits until they're menopausal before procreating.
OP, maybe buy your Mom an inexpensive pair of jeans (Old Navy maybe?). Perhaps cost is what is holding her back from exploring contemporary jean styles.
