That's wild. I don't really have any experience of this type of my own, but PP your post reminds me of a show about NDEs that I watched once. This woman reported that she experienced herself out of her body and she encountered two beings that were intent on getting her to despair. They were telling her she didn't exist and some other negative message. Then she was back in her body.

I had some major surgery a few years back and when I came out of the anesthesia I felt very disembodied and nauseous.

I looked around the recovery room to help orient myself. I had the thought that that many people had died in there.

There was a corner of the room that just had a bad vibe emanating from it. In the corner sat a gray being, not exactly like an alien- but not a person. It was hiding out and sucking up energy in the room, like a parasite. When I looked at it I was overcome with despair. I got the feeling that if it caught my eye it would suck me into a very bad place. I think it felt me looking at it, but at the time it was focused elsewhere. I turned my head and focused on the recovery nurse after that, and did my best to fill my head with other thoughts.

I can only tell you that my urine stopped in mid-stream and I ran out with my jeans and underpants not pulled up and I didn't care what happened as long as I got out of there. There was no one with me and I had no idea it was haunted. I didn't see anything but I knew that I needed to get out of there and fast. Google and call Ft. Washington .

A high school friend's parents had turned their basement into a really nice apartment, and she had moved down there. She had three dogs, and once when I was visiting, and we were getting ready to go out, I thought I heard the tags on their collars jingling from the kitchen, along with their claws clicking on the tiles. I looked up, and then I looked down at the dogs, who had been there the whole time. She told me that previous owners had left a dog outside and the dog had frozen to death.

Our last house was built in 1920, and there were a number of strange things that happened there that challenged my disbelief of ghosts. The most memorable happened in the middle of the afternoon when my son (2 at the time) was napping in his room. I was in our bedroom and heard a loud knocking coming from my son's room. I ran into his room and he was sleeping. I went back to my bedroom and heard the knocking coming directly from his room. I ran in again, and he was still asleep. There were a few other incidents that always seemed to coincide with us using the humidifier in my son's room. I'm convinced that the ghost was freaked out by the humidifier. It scared me a lot, and I was happy when we moved.

I've had the TV and the radio turn on by themselves...creeped me out so I unplugged them.

My DH's grandmother's house (in a different country) has been in the family for generations. My DH was actually born in the house, and several older family members have died in it, including his great-grandfather and his grandmother. DH's parents and brother currently liver there. They recently had some renovations done on the house. DH's mom told us that one day she was chatting with one of the workers and the worker mentioned that the lady of the house had been by earlier in the AM to say good morning. DH's mom asked, 'What lady?' And the worker said, 'The older woman...I assumed this was her house...the one in the picture over there on the wall - she said good morning to us this AM.' And the worker indicated a photo of DH's dead grandmother (who had died in the house last year).
I really don't believe in ghosts, but this story intrigues me because DH's mom is not the type of person to make up stories.

I went to a girl's catholic school in overseas for middle school. We were in a tropical country so the school was very open, with balconies that we walked along to get from classroom to classroom. The school had been a hospital during WWII and during an overnight camp out at school several girls, my self included, saw figures - or the same figure dressed in a white gown walking along the balconies, then off the edge.

My cousin's 2 yo daughter was at her great grandmother's funeral when out of nowhere she started waving at someone. When asked who she was waving at, she said great-grandma.

I was often really sick as a child and spent a lot of time in bed. Not always the best place to pass your childhood. My mom's parents lived a block away and my papa would come over in the morning to have a cup of coffee with my mom after my gram left for work. He always stopped by my room, which was right by the kitchen, stand in the threshold and check in to see how I was doing. Sometimes, if I was in a bad way, he wouldn't say anything but just give me a smile, blow a kiss and a wave. It was our little way of communicating- always a smile, kiss, and wave. The day after he passed away, I was devastated. Spent most of the day hidden in my closet. That night, I couldn't sleep and just laid there in my bed, staring at the ceiling. I don't know what time it was, it was probably around 3 in the morning, when I just felt something was there. I turned my head, and there he was, standing in my doorway like always. He smiled, blew me a kiss, waved and was gone. I knew though that he was just letting me know he was ok.

I have a scientific background but, I forget the exact quote- I remember seeing it in an X-Files episode once, believe that there are just some things we can't explain or try to explain away.
