Am I the only one who doesn't like Sabra? I love Cava, or I have to make it myself. I haven't tried the TJ or Whole Foods though.

In-store we like Cava. However, the BEST hummus I've ever tasted is at Cafe Ole in Tenleytown. It is seriously delicious.. we order a couple containers of it to-go each week.

I love Sabra's roasted red pepper flavor. The So Simple or whatever it's called Giant brand is pretty good too.

Cava Mezze hummus is the BEST, hands down. I am addicted to their Spicy Hummus and Kalamata Hummus

Love Sabra, especially the kind with roasted pine nuts. To make the "regular" brand nicer, we make a well, fill with olive oil, and sprinkle on paprika, oregano, and roasted pine nuts.

If you're in NW DC, Shemali's deli on New Mexico Avenue (in the building with the Starbucks across from the back of Mann elementary) has terrific hummus.

I LOVE Cedar's, more than Sabra. Way more and I eat a lot of hummus. I used to buy it at the Safeway on 17th Street in Dupont Circle.

The kind they sell at Costco. Whole Foods is a close second.

Another vote for Cava. Cava also makes an awesome eggplant and roasted red pepper spread that's incredibly low in fat and calories. It's like babaganoush, but less greasy tasting b/c they use fat free greek yogurt instead of mayo and oil. It doesn't taste exactly like babaganoush, which is what I was aiming for when I bought it, but I like it even better.

Ironically, last night I was eating some brand of Hummus I got from Whole Foods, and I was telling my H how I don't understand how Sabra can be so much better than every other one on the market. The other ones are edible, but Sabra is def the best.
