Hubby: ~$37k-$40k (not really sure to be honest)
HHI: ~$85k-$90k

Live in DC. Own a small rowhouse that he bought a gazillion years ago before the neighborhood gentrified. 1 kiddo in in-home childcare. He's early 40s, I'm early 30s, and we both work for nonprofits. Have no idea how we'll pay for daycare if we have #2.

a lot of us are prob much older than you too....


I think there are a lot of "young" people who make good income as well. DH and I make just over 300K and I'm 33, he just turned 35. We are both in IT and most people we work with are under 40, making good money (we are on the low end of the scale).

me 75k, DH 102K. 2 kids. we are in our 40s. 1 phd and 1 masters. you'd think we'd figure out a way to make more $ but honsetly this so muchmroe than we used to make.

Own in "transitional" neighborhood in NW. One 2 year old, one on the way. Daycare expenses currently 1250 month, will be whopping 2600/month in June. Mortgage 2K/month. Gonna be some lean years ahead. hoping DH's raise comes through this year.
