I am not suggesting it is okay; rather, that it is not only teens raised in an overtly homophobic environment who make comments like that. Such comments are more common than you think--it is a depressing reality, not an acceptable practice.

In my experience the term "boy" as in "STA boy" is used by adults to refer to someone of a younger generation. I've never met a teenage boy who refered to an age mate as a "boy". In fact, I think all teenagers now refer to each other (girls and boys equally) as 'dude" . LOL.

That is a creepy post. No I cannot imagine an STA boy reciting a poem about classmates on BJ's etc at Chapel and/or distributing it at school as an official Holiday document. Nor can I imagine an STA student throwing hard candy at administrators.

The "STA boys are too busy" comment is what teenagers say (and teenaged boys, to be specific), not any parent--even an angry defensive Sidwell parent. Kids do read this site.
