Yeah, about ten of you are going to do this. Crybabies. Like this mayor will be any different from previous ones.

I don’t care if we’re the only ones. Love living here but done paying exorbitant income taxes.

Then move to Missouri or Arkansas. The taxes are low there but the quality of life is more your speed.

You misread. These people are not talking about MOVING. They are talking about moving their PRIMARY RESIDENCE. If you don’t understand the difference, that’s a problem for you.

Yea, well, good luck with actually proving that you really spend the bulk of your time in your bullshit second home. Because DC will check . . .

With their crack team of Ivy League educated public sector employees presumably!

What’s it like being racist in the Chocolate City? Why do you choose to live here?

Not really racist to point out that relatively few smart, ambitious people strive to become government bureaucrats.

Curious if this poster ever witnessed one of these incidents in person.

DP, but I have. So have my kids, more than once. And I get the GoFundMe requests for school families that had their primary breadwinner picked up, and my kids hear about it from the kids in those families.

I think this election had no good choice, but I’m terrified that JLG is going to poke the bear and call it a win while ignoring the impact on the most vulnerable populations in our city.

Yeah, all my neighbors were promoting McDuffie here in Ward 3. I voted for JLG, personally. PP saying they’re going to move is hilarious. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

OP needs to realize that avoiding the evil doesn’t get rid of the evil and that it will just grow.

Sure they will. In about 2050.

You’re very wrong about this. You’ll see.

Don’t let the door slam you in the ass on your way out.

Oh, these people are not leaving. Just changing primary residence. And again, if you don't understand the difference, that's a problem for people like you and JG.

See my last post. If you dont understand that you can’t just SAY you moved without actually moving that’s the difference between people like you and McFuffie

Now, the deciding vote on the council is going to be significantly to the left of where it has been.

Hopefully, JLG is smart enough to know that you can probably raise UMC taxes to deal with our tough fiscal situation and not see a bunch of flight SO LONG AS you don’t ruin the schools and police.

Good luck with that.

We know JLG is incapable of cutting spending. We know that she does not give a fig about crime. We know that she will do whatever the teachers union tells her.

Probably safe to predict that crime will go up substantially. Taxes will go up substantially too, which will worsen DC's already pretty bad unemployment problem. Schools are definitely not going to get better; more likely, they will get worse.

Perhaps a Mayor Trump wouldn't be so bad.

It feels like DC has been in a downward spiral ever since the pandemic, and that will probably only accelerate with her (or him) in charge.
