Yeah, about ten of you are going to do this. Crybabies. Like this mayor will be any different from previous ones.
I don’t care if we’re the only ones. Love living here but done paying exorbitant income taxes.
Then move to Missouri or Arkansas. The taxes are low there but the quality of life is more your speed.
You misread. These people are not talking about MOVING. They are talking about moving their PRIMARY RESIDENCE. If you don’t understand the difference, that’s a problem for you.
Yea, well, good luck with actually proving that you really spend the bulk of your time in your bullshit second home. Because DC will check . . .
With their crack team of Ivy League educated public sector employees presumably!
What’s it like being racist in the Chocolate City? Why do you choose to live here?

THat look at me attitude puts a target on the backs of so many of our neighbors. Many of us have seen - first hand or by video - the early bone chilling ICE raids in DC. She doesn’t seem to care or maybe she doesn’t know (which is in itself a HUGE problem ) that the “look at me” attitude is going to hurt a lot of people in DC, directly and in the most meaningful way. I feel sick to my stomach about what I fear will come.
I hope and pray I am wrong.
Curious if this poster ever witnessed one of these incidents in person.

Sure they will. In about 2050.

Don’t let the door slam you in the ass on your way out.
Oh, these people are not leaving. Just changing primary residence. And again, if you don't understand the difference, that's a problem for people like you and JG.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:The main issue is that the DC council is very left wing but the Bowser veto meant that you only needed a small minority of council members to be reasonable on things like crime so they can sustain the Bowser veto.
Now, the deciding vote on the council is going to be significantly to the left of where it has been.
Hopefully, JLG is smart enough to know that you can probably raise UMC taxes to deal with our tough fiscal situation and not see a bunch of flight SO LONG AS you don’t ruin the schools and police.
Good luck with that.
We know JLG is incapable of cutting spending. We know that she does not give a fig about crime. We know that she will do whatever the teachers union tells her.
Probably safe to predict that crime will go up substantially. Taxes will go up substantially too, which will worsen DC's already pretty bad unemployment problem. Schools are definitely not going to get better; more likely, they will get worse.
Perhaps a Mayor Trump wouldn't be so bad.
