The last I heard, there was no way official way to denounce a UK citizenship. Sure, you could let your UK passport expire and swear on a bible to never go there again, but if you changed your mind 20 years later, you could always apply for a new passport as you are always a UK citizen.

Anonymous wrote:I have dual, US and EU. I use the EU all the time to stay for months to years in Europe, and to travel. Plus it lets me pass ad a min American at a time when much of the world looks down on us. It also gives my immediate family rights to accompany me. Why wouldn’t someone do it if they’re eligible?
