You can't go wrong in KPW. No HOA, night walkable neighborhood with lakes, pool etc. No electrical wires outside (all buried) and neighborhood has wide roads and look pretty,

Look at the lake Braddock subdivision. Walkable to the lake and the pool, lovely winding streets and cul de sacs, walkable to the 7-12 school.

Burke station square is a tucked away little neighborhood with its own pool and no through streets. It has a little park with tennis courts and an entrance to the bike path and trails along the creek.

Both are 10 minutes to Mason.

Generally agree. The best income properties are the least desirable properties for individual purchase, like condos. Desirable properties generally don't make great income properties.

Reston has a lot of crime still. More than Springfield, in fact. There is a lot of section 8 housing out there and in Herndon and Sterling too. No one really expected those localities to grow as much as they did.

OP, I'll echo the praise for Bonnie Brae and Middleridge, both of which I'd personally prefer over Fairfax Club Estates and Country Club View but only by a smidge (I don't love split levels/split foyers). On the Fairfax City side, Country Club Hills, Daniels Run Woods, and even Fairfax Villa might suit you. Old Hickory Farms off Roberts rarely has homes for sale but has a similar vibe.
