The most miserable wedding I've ever attended with my Bil's. Mid summer with the reception being held in a hug barn with no AC. Everyone was miserable and no one danced or did anything other than sit around and complain.

I'm not op but none of the primers I've ever used can defeat a 90degree + day with 1000% humidity. It's miserable. I'm from the South and hated all summer events because of the amount of time we had to spend out in the ridiculous heat. I dislike the 4th of July parties for this reason.

No, I’m not being facetious. I don’t handle the heat well, to the point where I’ve passed out several times when there wasn’t shade or any relief at outdoor events. I will, indeed, skip an outdoor sweatfest. Don’t worry, the happy couple still receive a very nice gift from their registry, and I toast their happiness.

I don’t need to sweat through a “sand ceremony” and all the extraneous, drawn out details.

The bride is acting like she’s a Queen instead of someone asking people to come celebrate with her. A wedding is a hosting event not a summons.

BIL had a formal weather outside in July suit and tie required and wouldn't allow linen since it wasn't formal enough.
