I have been rooting for the knicks because of the local connection of one of the players.

It's a tough situation for Dolan to be in. Telling Trump not to attend would unleash the wrath of Trump and all his MAGA followers. Mamdani (who is also quite good at not pissing Trump off) is publicly in favor of his visit, saying "We're excited to welcome anyone and everyone who's rooting for the Knicks in this moment."

I don't follow sports at all but I have a brother I haven't spoken to in years and years because he has major problems with lying and gambling and he once stole 40K from me.*

He's been flying all over the country from San Antonio to Vegas and to NYC (?) according to the totally drunk FB posts I just viewed earlier today. I look every so often.

* He stole the 40K in that he said it was his emergency home disaster, then he used someone else's pictures from the same region and I believed him. Later, after his 1st wife divorced him she told me he laughed at my northerner ignorance and said "all democrats love to give money to poor people so I'll pretend to be a poor person and she fell for it"
