Uh, it’s a kid living on the East Coast. OP lists SMU as a possible school. There was no specified geographic range. Colorado College is a good option for an environmental studies. It’s a beautiful campus too.

Where are you getting this data? The median SAT at William and Mary is 1450 with 48% submitting, Wake is 1450 with 24% submitting, Davidson is 1460 with 25.4% reporting, and W&L is 1480 with 29.7% reporting.

Then don't submit for either.

Adding all SLACs and Wake are very comfortable with test optional (Wake was test optional for a decade before COVID). If grades are strong and private school has a strong reputation for academics, no reason to submit test scores below the median.

Davidson is a much higher level of competitive than those others, and is harder than Wake, W&M, W&L ED. Even ED Davidson is a big reach.

Try Tulane, Dickinson for easier admits than Wake and WM.
Colby is not going to be a fit based on description


Davidson is an easy admit at our private, no one has been denied in the last five years, and nearly all applicants were not in top 20 percent of class. Easier than Wake and William and Mary -- W&L loves our private as well.
