Teenagers in your life know who Kelly Osborne is? A B/C list celebrity from 25 years ago?
This ^. Except I would call her D list at best.
She was in the news because Ozzy died recently and the funeral was a big to do. Did you miss that too?
This was almost an entire year ago.

How have you not seen the pictures of Kelly Osborne??? They are everywhere. She looks 30 years older than her age (at least) and absolutely terrible.
Not PP, but I haven't seen pictures of Kelly Osborne. We aren't all obsessing over (or even looking at) TMZ or People Magazine or whatever your algorithm seems to be feeding you...

That’s Kelly Osborne??? Her weight isn’t the issue here, her face is completely different. I can recognize many celebrities after plastic surgery but I do not recognize even a little bit of her bone structure, facial features, etc
I know. That's what drives the discussion around body dysmorphia and how GLP1s may be problematic.
Ok but she doesn’t look that way because of GLPs she looks that way because of excessive surgeries. GLPs are weight loss meds that are prescribed legally and correctly for a population that is more overweight than we have ever been in the history of the world. It’s like saying that no one should ever have morphine because some people use morphine for chronic pain and some people use it to get high. Except people who might use GLPs to feed their anorexia aren’t hurting anyone but themselves unlike drug sddicts who crash cars and rob people to get cash

We saw celebrity deaths from anorexia, sadly, before glp1s were invented. The vast vast majority of people who use them do not have anorexia, and many successfully lose weight and improve their overall health. They may see improvements in blood sugar levels, aic's, cholesterol, blood pressure, and a decreased risk of stroke and heart attack.
The problem is more this is an easily accessible medication if you have unlimited funds. There really are no regulations as to who is getting it as long as they are paying for it. For example, I do actually need it for specific hormone levels that have been completely regulated by it. But all it took was one telahealth appointment where they asked my stats (weight/height) but there was absolutely no real checks up on that.

BRITs 2026, other things -- some of them, yes.
I'm a pediatrician who does HEADSS assessments at well child visits for adolescents, and we talk about body image. It has been brought up more than once. Kids are aware.
