I'm a web editor for a national media company and I once almost published "law shits" instead of "law suits." That would have been bad!

When I was working with an animal rescue I put in a presentation something about the importance of allowing newly adopted dogs adequate time to decompose in their new homes… weird autocorrect for decompress that I didn’t catch. Oops.

But I'm surprised that central IT never pushed something out to all tools (now it's easier with AI) - "Given that we don't work with body parts, anything sexual, anything with animals or feeding barn animals, or any food products, do not allow pubic, manger or dough on any document. "

You never know if you might have a legitimate use for the words. Years ago my workplace had a filter that screened out “gay.” Emails with filtered words didn’t get delivered. Took a few days to realize that emails from people named Gay, Gaylord, etc weren’t going through!

Hilarious thread.

To help OP with perspective, I had a personal assistant send award letters to the *wrong* individuals. We all survived. We are human!

It happens, but sorry OP.

The Virginia Attorney General misspelled both "senator" and "Virginia" in their appeal to the supreme court.

Also spelling "quality" wrong.

If yur typo doesn't cost someone in the 10s or 100s of millions of dollars, it is no big deal.

And yes, I have been involved in two cases where a paralegal made an innocent mistake and it cost millions.
