Thank my lucky stars for more time.

I'm 56 and people are starting to die. Whether the parent generation or some really unfortunate cancer among friends and peers.

The clock ticks for everyone.

Botox is the last thing I'm concerned about. How to live a meaningful life that matters is the bigger issue at this age point.

Haven't quite figured that out. But the long sleep is not scary. How to live in the meantime is the issue.

Other than that, here's what I do:

- Healthy diet, I find I need high protein + high fat
- Workout every day
- No alcohol, caffeine, no late nights never and in bed by 8:30pm, no screens in the evening (messes up sleep)
- Botox every 12 weeks, make sure they do the lower face, NOT just the forehead/eyes (it is very difficult to find an injector to understands how to shape the face with Botox rather than just freeze everything but well worth it)
- See an EXPERT for fillers, NOT your regular Botox injector. Filler is extremely easy to mess up, worth the money to see one of the top injectors.
- Figure out what makeup looks best on you. Get lash extensions, brow tinting, lip blushing, etc.
- work with a voice coach (I did this for my deeper voice, worked wonders)
- Just started Rogaine
- Currently saving up for a facelift, rhinoplasty, and a tummy tuck. Again, don't see any random surgeon, find the best of the best. Tummy tucks are especially tricky because most surgeons don't actually 'shape' the waist because it takes much longer, they just remove the skin. You want someone to shape it.

I still look my age, but a much better version of it. I get complimented regularly on how good I look and often date men 10 years younger than me.

So you’re not dealing with aging well.

They're not. So much vanity!

+ Same.
My childhood best friend recently died due to the ravaging effects of bone cancer & it really taught me all about perspective, how fragile ➕ blessed that life truly is.

You won't understand your mom's problems until it happens to you, right.
It's like you feel invisible.
Listen to some peri-menopausal podcasts. They are so useful.

Botox, clean eating and avoiding seed oils.

DP here, and I was wondering about Botox. I don't have wrinkles and have worn a hat/sunscreen and taken care of my skin, but I feel like my forehead is sort of...slightly rumpled? when I smile big or raise my eyebrows a lot. It's hard to explain because my skin is in really good condition due to 20 years of Retin A and hat/sunscreen use. It's like the underlying structure isn't as bouncy?

Would Botox work for this, or does it only work for wrinkles? I'm not in facelift territory, but I can't figure out exactly what would make my forehead look better.

Yes Botox would help and you probably wouldn’t even need that many units since you’ve taken good care of your skin.

I'm 59 and more worried about mobility and strength as I age than my looks. Some friends are getting osteoporosis already, so please don't get too thin.

- No smoking or drinking
- Walking with weights, yoga, breathing exercises
- Castor oil full body massage everyday and sitting in morning sunlight. Fantastic for skin and hair
- Consume at least 2-3 liters of alkaline water every day
- Green and red vegetable juice and probiotics - mainly keffir
- Maintain eye, ear and teeth health
- OMAD fasting for 10 day every 3 months
- Balanced diet, mostly avoid processed foods
- Keep up to date with health checkups and vaccines
- Maintain a vibrant social network. Learn new things. Have a happy family. Remain connected.

Aging is a privilege. I “cope with it” by knowing that.

I am very sorry about your friend.

We all have to live in the box we're in. We can be glad we're not dying and also have struggles and challenges with the aging process.

I'm going to be using this. My mom always said "we all have our own pile of sh$t" - but "your own box" is so much better! My personal box was dealing with a serious cancer and recovery at 45. Ten years out now and I'm finally ready to focus on the "superficial" things about my face and body. And regretting a bit that I haven't started earlier.
Any way OP, don't let time just pass you by.

I’m glad you like it!

I’m also glad that your health is at a point where you can focus some energy on other things. I hope you find lots of things to help you feel beautiful and strong in this stage of life.

Before doing any of the “higher commitment” plastic surgeries, have you tried just regular old Botox and facial fillers?

Is there a face tanner that does anything close to this?

Not quite sure what you’re asking. You don’t need a “face tanner.” Get a regular ol medium coverage liquid foundation. Foundation recs are so personal and it’s going to depend heavily on your skin type and what type of coverage you prefer. But something like Makeup Forever HD Skin could be good. You can always go to Sephora and try a few on the back of your hand to see what they “wear” like.

I use a cream blush and bronzer (Dibs beauty desert island duo) and the Anastasia brow pencil to fill in my brows.

Foundation is frankly not a good look on mature skin. I think the less makeup you wear as you age, the better.

You need to find the right one and that gets harder as you get older and have more skin concerns. But no, a good foundation that fits your skin type is far better than bare aging skin.
