I’m around the same age. My brother was like your son, but was diagnosed schizophrenic. I almost never smoked pot and rarely drink. He smoked a lot. We do have schizophrenia in our (at least one other member has it, but she doesn’t drink or do drugs). I believe pot made my brother that way he is, more than genes that we both share. My husband also smokes regularly, which I hate, but he is naturally high strung and it makes him tolerable, even to himself. I do not want our kids to do it or even try it. From both my brother and husband, I know it’s addictive and worse, it has the potential to ruin a life.
