I’ve worked at the same place for over 20 years. In our division, most of us earn about the same. I do discuss money and investments in our company 401k because that’s how we learn. One of my coworkers was adamant about telling every new hire to get the 401k match and they’ve all come back to thank her. I don’t have as much saved as some but I’ve grown what I have pretty well. I don’t ask about outside money but I will ask people for recommendations within our choices.

I don't discuss $$ with anyone. Though a few years ago my DH told me to talk to a friend of his, both lawyers, because he asked him how we invested our 529s and DH didn't know.

Oh I definitely have some work friends I can talk politics with. We don’t do it in front of unknowns.
