O'Connell has three really good transfers and probably the best freshman in the DMV coming in this fall.

OK, but O'Connell's issue isn't the players, it's the coaching. Top to bottom.

Can you please share?

O'Connell might be a potential destination in the near future.

I didn't write the comment about coaching but definitely thought it. The head Coach Mehdi is agressive, smug, and a jerk. I wouldn't make the choice for my daughter to play for him.

The incoming Freshman is amazing, and I'm sure she was agressively recruited to play for O'Connell. Let's see if she stays, given the coaching staff.

O'Connell tuition costs signficantly less than Flint Hill and other private schools.

Well, maybe no high school tuition for highly recruited players. So cost does not matter.

All catholic schools are cheaper than other privates- PVI, OConnell, St. John's, Holy Cross (WCAC) vs. Flint Hill, Madeira, etc. However certain schools more heavily recruit vs. others.

I assume some public schools has enough talented players to beat some of these private establishments.

Technically, most of the local private school conferences don't allow athletic scholarships, but that doesn't mean they are not disguising athletic money as need based financial aid.

On a slightly different but related topic, the St James is adding volleyball to their evolving IMG style St James Academy - I wonder if they will play in one of the local high school conferences?
