Yep. As I am American I am just shocked how some of us think we have it so much easier compared to everyone else. This country is a giant monopoly. The way telecommunications is regulated in the US is absolutely wild. Free market economy my a**.

The illusion of choice is so well hidden that I don't think people realize the depth of monopoly that we have in almost every sector of the economy.

People are surprised that we are not going to back to 2% inflation haha. How can you go back to 2% inflation when you the consumer lost pricing power long time ago. They now own the media as well who bombard you with buzzwords like "supply chain" etc to make you think like we have scarcity...

49.99 a month for Verizon fios.

I’ve lived in the same place for 6 years and Verizon fios for 300/300 (internet only) has recently crept up significantly. It was $40/mo for the first 4 years, then up to $45/mo, now it just shot up to $55 for the same 300/300 speed.

I might have to explore our options soon

89.99 Fios gig internet only

$45 for 500/500 on Verizon FIOS, no TV, no cell, no bundles
