Wit and Wisdom have nice shorts that aren't denim. They tend to run large, so you might want to size down.

But PPs are right above. Finding dresses with pockets is the best option. They're more comfortable and look instantly put together. Quince has a few options , Title 9 does as well. Like PPs, I wear biker style shorts underneath so there's no movement restriction.
