Dating is widespread in high school and I have a hard time imagining kids will stop dating suddenly in college. Of course hook ups are common. I remember them well from my day. But from what I’ve seen, dating culture seems stronger in this generation.
People really need to put where they live. I bet there's a lot of dating in the south, for example.
OP, depends on the kid. I think dating/relationships are less widespread than in the 80s and 90s, where it would have been really weird to have never dated in high school and college. But I know a bunch of teens and college kids and some have 90s-style dating and relationships and some seem to be total virgins who don't date at all.
Define dating. I thought parents send their kids to get a degree and succeed. Not go there to look for a mate.

It’s very nice of those young men to volunteer their time to assist in the local agriculture. Are they also going to help when the crops are ready to be harvested?
