Is that the team actually going or the one DQ’d for purposely using an illegal player?

Vamos!

I know ASA still has a list of kids to replace with kids spot with and we just found out the 18 on the original roster will now be 20 or 22 while the other club limits to 18.

20-22? What age group? That is a money grab signal. They will take your money and your kid will play breadcrumbs minutes

Depends on age group. 20-22 seems to be norm with HS age teams. But i would go anywhere else except SYC.

Why the negative reference to SYC?

If you look at the current teams, most of the top players are leaving due to lack of coaching. I heard one of the teams going to the playoffs that 5 of the starters are jumping ship due to this

Did they tell you the full roster already? Lots can happen between now and August, especially if on the boys side and factoring in future players etc.

You will forfeit the deposit but if you push hard enough, you can get it back.

Seems illegal. The deposit I get, but the whole next year too? How can they hold a players card for a year that has not even started yet.

Do they actually have the player card when the current season is still ongoing? Doesn't that reside with the current team if its different than SYC?

I'm ignorant on this so genuinely curious.

No. Current team holds player cards. You can contact your current team to not release your player card to SYC. If you took another offer besides SYC, you can tell the current situation to your team admin and have player card released to anther team.
