Though when we have lazy mornings sometimes we get to lunchtime and I'm like "wait, did you brush your teeth this morning?" and if the answer is no then they have to brush after lunch. It's gross to me that they don't notice that they forgot to do it when they got up, but I think if kids have good oral hygiene generally, they are much less prone to bad, stale morning bread the way adults are. So if we're not getting out of the house in the morning they are prone to forget to brush after breakfast.
Maybe that's what the kids are talking about? Missing morning brushing due to lack of routine?
This. We don't have a ton of lazy mornings these days on the weekends but "morning brushing" probably doesn't happen until they get dressed and ready for the day. Brushing before bed would never be missed for anything.
