You do know that urban schools would include Harvard, MIT, UPenn, Northwestern, Yale, UCLA, USC, Brown…I am likely skipping over a bunch.

BTW, Columbia isn’t a pariah…they received a shit ton of applications like they always do.

A lot of these kids can afford the summer program and then get in because of that. I personally know of a couple.

Previous poster isn't reading the acceptances correctly. 2 posted since RD released. Who knows when they were actually admitted.

Also, RD at Chicago is not impossible if you are coming from a top private like Sidwell. I know a few kids who were admitted RD from another top private. They are strong students but not very top of the class or anything.

They waitlist all ivy types in RD then immediately the following week ot two start networking calling private schools and making verbal offers to admit the their top pick off the waitlist if and only if that person would pick them over any options they get on ivy day. Many have better options and say no thanks. This continues for weeks moving lower down their list until class ls full.

Based on the timeline of the instagram posts, 3 from Sidwell got in Chicago ED0, 7 got in Chicago ED1, 2 got in Chicago ED2 (or these just posted late).
