I'm also struggling with the split in styles here. Cassidy and Mackenzie could actually work as middle names.

Also, while Emma is popular name, my (3) kids have never had an Emma in their classes. Some names, like Sophia or Eleanor/Ellie , are more common to hear than Emma, but just not listed as highly in the charts because there are so many alternate spellings.

They are middle names to balance out a longer first name IMO
Alice is an old woman to our generation, for up and coming generations it probably won't have that association

Claire - ok, I am partial to French names
Alice - considered myself, if I have another daughter she would probably get this name
Mackenzie - really dislike, also very dated
Cassidy - too kiddish

I am only care if it's a top 10 name, or if I personally know several kids with that name. Both true for Emma, so that one is out for me.
Beyond that, I don't care. I just don't want a name where my kid will be one if several everywhere she goes.
