HS soccer just doesn't have a clue or doesn't care about the athletes they oversee. NOVA schools are on spring break this coming week and some schools have games on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday right after they come back. No wonder HS players are consistently dealing with injuries. As a prior poster mentioned, if you are serious about playing college soccer you should really re-consider whether HS soccer is the right thing to do for you. SMH.

There have been plenty of pros who have play soccer. It's fine if you don't like hs soccer but no need to insult those who choose to play it.

Lake Braddock Varsity look strong. They beat Madison pretty handily this week.

Go! Away. Never heard of this school and HS soccer is a joke. You just played a jokier team.

I guess your child didn't make the high school roster so butt hurt about it.

What does "butt hurt" even mean? (To an adult)
And here's a secret ... they all make the HS team. It's High School teacher coached soccer FFS!

Hey dumb a$$, I hate to make you "Butt Hurt," but no, every kid does not make the HS team. It is competitive and hundreds of players try out.

Are you sure you're an adult? Do you live under a rock? For most HS tryouts, kids get cut. HS teachers often do catch the teams, but that has nothing to do with the number of kids who try out. There are rules for how many kids they can take.

Do you even parent?

Ok .... great retort. Adults don't call people butt hurt or feel the need to curse their response. Go to school.

Dude puts it in every single forum. Likely will get worse now that he's been called out. Wait for it.

high school is about playing with friend where some are playing at different soccer clubs.

high school soccer is about more than just competition. It is a celebration of school spirit, the thrill of the sport, and the invaluable time spent playing alongside friends.

This. The quality of play is pretty low but I love HS soccer. School sports are awesome.

It's for fun. The roar of the crowd peaked as the final starter’s name announced over the PA system as they stand for the National Anthem. (I don't think club soccer does that)

National Anthem is the reason to play? Girls serious about playing at the next level should skip HS soccer.

why can the kids play for fun? Not all kids want to play at the next level.

They can and absolutely should play for fun. The prior comment was about those serious about playing at the next level. Not those that don’t want to. Those that don’t want to play in college should definitely play HS.

The girls are playing for fun! honestly, how many girls from around here will make it to pro?

A few are from Springfield, VA: Lily Yohannes & Gabi Robinson
Meaghan Nally is from Fairfax and JuliaLeas from Vienna

Go Gabi.
USL (MN) doesn't count as pro! Come on.. so lame. The others are all international!
