Some use meds (one of our kids goes to sleep with a dose of benadryl, the other gets hyper from it). Some people take meds to sleep and some have a glass of wine. The long and the short of it, some people sleep and some people don't.
I can’t sleep on a plane. On the handful of overseas flights I’ve taken, I find the adjustment arriving in Asia and the Middle East, which for me has always been an early evening arrival, much easier than arriving in the morning, in Europe. I’m usually in Economy, so a 12-14 hour flight to Asia is brutal, but arriving at dinner time and then going right to bed is so much better than sleepwalking through Europe on your first day.
